
Addressing Shoulder Weakness in Individuals With Rotator Cuff–Related Shoulder Pain: A Systematic Review With Meta-analysis.
Our team has published a new systematic review and meta-analysis in JOSPT. Led by Botao and Nacho and carried out in collaboration with an international team of researchers from Canada and Italy, this study examined how rehabilitation interventions influence shoulder strength in individuals with rotator cuff–related shoulder pain (RCRSP).
The review found that rehabilitation interventions significantly improve shoulder strength in people with RCRSP. Programs that include active exercise and strength training are especially effective and are recommended to address persistent strength deficits.
